Kevin S Jones – Consultant Developer – specialising in Manufacturing and Mobile Warehousing for Business Central

I started my career in The Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (HM Forces Army) as a vehicle mechanic. After my service, I ran various businesses covering hospitality, transport and haulage until returning to education to gain a BSc(Hons) in Management, IT and Language from the University of York, graduating in 2004.

I have since retained the entrepreneurial spirit and run some other businesses (Micropubs) alongside my passion of making Business Central work for clients.

I began my journey with Business Central as a first-line helpdesk technician, where I first encountered NAVISION and was immediately captivated by its endless potential. Since then, I have progressed from end-user support to serving as a Principal Consultant for a Microsoft Gold Partner, leading diverse projects across the full implementation spectrum—from specialized finance solutions to large-scale manufacturing and warehousing operations. My last position before starting the Business Central Team was as UK ERP Lead for a large Global Food Manufacturer.

While I enjoyed leading multiple projects, I felt a need to be more involved in the practical side of things, which led me to found The Business Central Team. I firmly believe that on-site engagement is essential; there are nuances learned in person that remote meetings simply cannot capture, and missing them can lead to project failure. Based in Burton-upon-Trent, I frequently travel and stop at sites to ensure I can truly become an embedded member of your business team.
